310 stainless steel sintered wire mesh filter elements

310 310S stainless steel sintered wire mesh filter elements use multi-layer customized sintered mesh to stop the particles from entering the element. The control layer of the sintered wire mesh retains the particle / contaminant, thus the high temperature filter element typically functions as a surface filtration element.

Micron rating can be customized as well as end fitting type, dimension, sintered mesh construction, etc.

The high chromium (25%) and silicon (0.6%) content of Alloy 310 make it more resistant to high temperature corrosion in most in-service environments. Operating temperatures are listed below.

1. Oxidizing conditions (max sulfur content – 2 g/m3)
★1050°C (1922°F) continuous service
★1100°C (2012°F) peak temperature
2. Oxidizing conditions (max sulfur greater than 2 g/m3)
★950°C (1742°F) maximum temperature
3. Low oxygen atmosphere (max sulfur content – 2 g/m3)
★1000°C(1832°F) maximum temperature
4. Nitriding or carburizing atmospheres
★850 – 950°C(1562 – 1742°F) maximum
★The alloy 310 310S does not perform as well as Alloy 600 (UNS N06600) or Alloy 800 (UNS N08800) in reducing, nitriding or carburizing atmospheres, but it does outperform most heat resistant stainless steels in these conditions.

Nickel based alloy filter element can be perfectly applicable in applications with higher temperature and tougher chemical corrosion condition.
